Wahoo ELEMNT Rival Multisport GPS Watch – The Triathlon-focussed Novelty

Wahoo has released its first multisport watch – the triathlon-focused Wahoo ELEMNT Rival. In terms of functionality, quality and its main features RIVAL can compete with similar models from Garmin and Polar.

The new Wahoo RIVAL uses well known ELEMNT technology and supports for company’s existing bike computers and KICKR indoor trainers. RIVAL is a beefy shockproof, water resistant watch with 1.2 in Gorilla Glass transflective 240×240 resolution display and an array of five physical buttons.  There’s built-in GPS with a collection of sports modes at your disposal. Wahoo also includes an ambient light sensor that can automatically adjust the screen to black or white depending on lighting conditions.

The other big features are Touchless Transition and Multisport Handover and that brings Wahoo’s Elemnt GPS bike computer into the picture and promises to track your transitions during triathlon without having to manually do anything on the watch.

The battery life you get to play with is up to two weeks in smartwatch mode. When you put the GPS tracking to good use, it promises 24 hours of battery life.
